Illegal Speed Testing On Vehicles Comes With Consequences!
These four Sport car drivers can afford to buy luxury vehicles, yet they decide to turn the road into a racing circuit over the weekend.
These illegal activities were found out by the Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) Unit, Kuala Lumpur, during the Street Gangster Special Operation last Saturday.
Police intelligence found that the four drivers were willing to pawn the lives of other drivers just to test the speed of their cars.
Initially, the operations team saw two Nissan GTR R35 cars driving against traffic and were found racing on their own to the exit of the Awan Besar R&R, Kuala Lumpur.
Soon after that, a BMW M6 and Mercedes Benz A14 followed.
“The police team found that the group accelerated from KM 47.8 to KM 47.7 of the highway and went against traffic at the exit and headed back to the starting point with the same action of three laps.
"All the suspects were then seen stopping their vehicles at the Awan Besar R&R parking area before they were arrested," said Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) deputy director Datuk Mohd Nadzri Hussain.
All the suspects are said to be between 24 and 34 years old.
All the detained individuals are being investigated under Section 42 of the Road Transport Act 1987.
