Volvo XC40 Recharge – Priced at RM262,460

Marking the day Volvo Malaysia announced the price for its first fully electric vehicle – Volvo XC40 Recharge during an online event at their FB page.

The XC40 Recharge Pure Electric offers five colour options – Black Stone, Crystal White Pearl, Denim Blue, Glacier Silver and Sage Green. 

Displaying a full electric all-wheel-drive powertrain that offers a range of up to 418km on a single charge alongside two electric motors generating 408 hp and 660 Nm of torque, the vehicle is carrying a retail price tag of RM262, 460 after sales and tax exemption.

Meanwhile, the price set simply includes 5 years free warranty, 5 years’ service package, 8 years EV battery warranty, 5 years roadside assistance, and a charging cable.

Managing director of Volvo Car Malaysia, Charles Frump stated the company is delighted to launch its first pure EV in Malaysia.

"To support this, we are committed to launching a new electric vehicle every year for next 5 years. In addition, we have the capabilities to assemble our own pure EVs for the local and other ASEAN markets.” he added.
