Classics & Coffee: A Classic Car Gathering At The Mercedes-Benz Museum
![]()
To be distinguished and admired, that’s what it’s all about, the popular classic car gathering in front of the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, the 2022 Classics & Coffee is back.
Whether the vehicles adorn the Mercedes star or not, this event involves people driving up in a classic or young classic car, meeting like-minded people and chatting about the cars on display.
Majority of the Classics & Coffee guests who bring along vehicles are from the surrounding region, although there are occasionally visitors from abroad, as well.
Sometimes even amassing a few hundred of such enthusiasts on-site, transforming the hill outside the Museum into one big all-brands motor show with a particular flair all its own.
Visitors without classic cars are also warmly received, as they too can enjoy being part of the classic car scene and chatting with the vehicle owners.

Pre-registration is not necessary. Vehicles with H-plates, as well as young classics which are more than 20 years old in well-maintained condition, may park free of charge on the Museum hill.
The gathering started from April 4, it goes on until October 9 of this year, on Sundays from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., (except May 8, 2022) with themed specials on the following dates:
- May 29, 2022 – Camper vans
- June 25, 2022 – ‘Baby Benz’ (W 201 model series)
- July 10, 2022 – Family Day
- July 17, 2022 – Mercedes-Benz SL
- September 25, 2022 – Outdoor special
- October 2, 2022 – Mercedes-Benz SL
- October 9, 2022 – Mercedes-Benz S-Class
That’s not all, the Classics & Coffee ‘AFTERWORK’ takes place from June 9 to 23, and July 14 until September 15, 2022 on Thursdays from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m.

Interestingly, it also features one themed special on August 18, showcasing models like the CLK, A-Class and M-Class.
In short, the event has been established for a number of years now, and this year, the popular Sunday classic car get-together in front of the Museum enters a new phase.
