The Porsche Vision Gran Turismo, A Centrepiece At Gamescom

Presenting a new look of its Vision Gran Turismo, Porsche at Gamescom, the world’s largest public trade fair for video games, in Cologne this 24 August.
Gamescom is the world’s largest public trade fair for video games, and Porsche will be there for the first time with sports brand Puma, focusing on their partnership in the field of gaming.

Porsche AG’s chief marketing officer, Robert Ader, remarked, “Porsche has steadily expanded its commitment to the gaming and e-sports community in recent years, our appearance at Gamescom underscores this.”
Interestingly, the Vision Gran Turismo show car is the first concept build from Porsche to be developed specifically for use in a video game.
Its world premiere took place in November 2021 and since March 2022, it has been possible to experience the vehicle exclusively in the new Gran Turismo 7 on PlayStation 4 and 5.

“We have reached an important milestone with the Vision Gran Turismo as the first sports car developed purely for virtual space. By painting it, Vexx will now give the vehicle a completely new look as well,” Ader furthered.
Serving as the centrepiece of the event, the show car’s appearance will change over the course, painted live by Belgium-based artist, Vexx, in his signature street art style.
The Porsche Vision Gran Turismo designed by the artist will be drivable in the Gran Turismo 7 game at the fair.

Vexx, the artist, expressed, “For me as an artist, it was a unique opportunity to create a completely new design for Porsche. The look taps into both Porsche's brand identity and gaming themes. I'm excited that the gaming community will be able to drive the vehicle virtually from now on.”
Other than that, the gaming area at the Porsche and Puma stand also offers event attendees the experience to test their skills on virtual tracks via Porsche racing simulators.
Lastly, the redesigned ‘Porsche Vision Gran Turismo Vexx’ as a 1:18-scale model will be available in the Porsche Shop, alongside other goods featuring recurring themes of the show car.
