Updated 2023 Proton Exora MPV officially revealed - from RM62,800 onwards

The Proton Exora 7-seat MPV has received a slight update in its new 2023 model year guise. Revealed earlier today, this marks the fourth revision for the model since it was launched back in 2009, sporting a host of minor changes inside and out this time around.
Two variants are available, those being the Executive and range-topping Premium variants. Both are now priced at RM62,800 and RM69,800 respectively (OTR excluding insurance), marking a slight increase of RM3,000 respectively from the previous version that was last updated back in 2019.

Under the hood, the Exora soldiers on with its existing 1.6-litre 4-cyl CamPro CFE mill and CVT transmission pairing as before, the former still delivering 140 ps and 205 Nm to the front wheels via the latter. Despite rumours of a switch to the new Geely-sourced 1.5 3-cyl turbo as seen in the X50 and base X70 SUV models, this didn't happen.
However, Proton have clarified that the problematic oil-cooler hose (OHC) has been remedied in this 2023 model. This sees the 2023 Proton Exora promise greater long-term reliability than its predecessors.

In its new 2023 model year guise, exterior revisions are minimal, the most noticeable being the adoption of Proton's current round logo emblems in the front grille and rear tailgate. Exclusive to the range-topping Premium variant are two-tone 16-inch alloy wheels, new LED daytime running lights (DRLs), a full aerokit, plus a black tailgate trim.
On board, the range-topping Premium variant now sports full leatherette seats instead of semi-leatherette types seen before. It also sports second-row armrests, leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel, and a GKUI-based 7-inch touchscreen head unit primed with "Hi Proton'' voice command, 4G connectivity via eSIM card, and a host of connected functions including music streaming, navigation, android mirroring, and wi-fi hostspot.
As for the Executive variant, it's features list include 16-inch single-tone alloy wheels, manual-folding side mirrors, a urethane-wrapped steering wheel, fabric seat upholstery, manual air conditioning with rear vents plus a N95 cabin filter, as well as a standard head unit equipped with Bluetooth connectivity and four speakers.
The only other change to report on board with both variants is the adoption of Proton's new round logo design in the steering wheel.

In terms of safety, both the Executive and Premium variants are now brimmed with stability control (ESC) as standard, however only the Premium variant is bolstered further with a reverse camera feature. Beyond that, the Exora continues to have two airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, as well as an emergency stop signal.
Five colour options are offered – Snow White, Indiana Grey, Rosewood Maroon, Ruby Red and Cocoa Grey. Additionally, the aforementioned prices include a 5-year or 150,000 km warranty coverage plus , three times free labour service and a 5-year data package (1 GB/month).
