Bentley At The Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille Concours

Bentley At The Chantilly Concours
Bentley Motors at the sixth Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille event with a showcase of its masterpieces.
The main highlight is the European debut of the two-door grand tourer, the Bentley Mulliner Batur, which is limited to just 18 examples worldwide.
Accompanying it, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Continental is a 1953 R-Type Continental, and a 1958 S1 Continental.

First off, the Batur was displayed on the grounds of Château de Chantilly, the perfect place to launch the most powerful Bentley in history and showcase the start of a design revolution.
It is the heir to the Bacalar and serves as a new design DNA which will guide the direction of Bentley’s future range of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) that is due in 2025.

Strong yet graceful, it portrays a powerful silhouette with emphasis on curvaceous surfaces divided in the right places to reflect light and dark, and bring more muscle to the design.
At its heart is the most powerful engine yet fitted to a Bentley, the W12. It is the last to harbour the 6.0-litre 12-cylinder that dishes out more than 730 HP and 1,000 NM of torque.

Next, comes the celebration of the Continental which had a special class dedicated to Bentley post-war examples.
Outstandingly, the winner, a 1953 R-Type Continental from the Crewe heritage fleet came in a beautiful Ivory exterior paint and red interior.
Preserved perfectly, the R-Type retains the original 4.6-litre engine and maintains an excellent mechanical order.

In addition to that, as the first four-door body of the brand, a 1958 S1 Continental was also displayed in the Garden Le Nôtre.
Powered by a 4.9-litre straight-six-engine, the S1 Continental from Crewe’s heritage fleet is beautifully finished in black with grey interior.

Lastly, to top it all off, inspired by the S1, the most modern version, the Flying Spur Hybrid was naturally flanked alongside its ancestor.
