2024 Subaru Impreza Teased Ahead of LA Auto Show Debut

Subaru recently announced that it will unveil the all-new 2024 Subaru Impreza during the upcoming 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show. The Japanese marque also previewed a single teaser image of the new model, barely showing the car’s silhouette.
The teaser image only showcases the new Impreza’s roofline – teasing a possible hatchback design. Very little information can be derived from the shadowy photo, but judging from its slightly tall silhouette, we can presume this sixth-gen Impreza will feature a rather high ground clearance.
The other visible body parts from the teaser photo are its curvy front hood silhouette and slanting A-pillar – akin to Subaru’s current design language. A slight reflection that shows the new Impreza’s side mirror suggests that this car won’t be coming with a mirrorless side view display.

As an Impreza, it is safe to bet the new one will also come standard with an all-wheel drive (AWD) configuration. Even the brand’s latest Subaru Global Platform (SGP) chassis design was integrated to fit an AWD layout.

Subaru’s sportiest SUV offering is the XV, also known as the Crosstrek in some parts of the globe, boasts a similarly sporty roofline as in the teased image. Packing a ‘boxer’ 4-cyl nat-asp engine, the XV’s power output reads at 153 HP 196 NM. Said power is delivered to all four wheels via the Linetronic CVT gearbox.
The all-new 2024 Subaru Impreza is poised for its global debut at the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show, beginning on Nov 18.
With the sudden rise of demands for SUVs globally, is this the time where we’ll finally see a crossover SUV redux of the Impreza? Past Impreza iterations came in various body styles, from the iconic WRX P1 coupe, to the STi Wagon as well as the standard 4-door sedan – but an SUV is yet to come.
The brand is definitely no stranger to crossover models, with the marque’s current SUV offerings ranging from the aforementioned XV to the larger, utilitarian Forester.
