Limited Edition Mercedes-Maybach S680 ‘Haute Voiture’ Debuts

Whilst the electrified new Mercedes-Benz EQE350+ is making headlines locally, the three-point star marque also made headlines internationally with the debut of its latest limited-run special based on the S-Class Maybach.

Pictured here is the Mercedes-Maybach S680 ‘Haute Voiture’ edition which, as you can aptly see and guess from its name, comes dressed in a styling inspired from the world of high-end designer fashion. Set to go on sale next year, just 150 units of this opulent and stylish special will be made.

Based on the Mercedes-Maybach S680 4Matic, this special is also endowed with the base car’s 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged V12 powertrain that outputs a whopping 603 HP and 900 NM of twist. With the base car able to despatch 0-100 KM/H in just 4.5 secs with, it makes this special stand equally as powerful as it is stylish.

Speaking of style, this is really what sets the ‘Haute Voiture’ special apart from the base Mercedes-Maybach S680 4Matic. Firstly, it wears a unique two-tone colour scheme featuring metallic nautical blue hue on the upper portion of the body and on the wheels, followed by rose gold for the lower sections.

The same colourway is replicated in the cabin, where it sees dark blue shade applied on the upper door panels, dashboard, and steering wheel. Matching that are rose gold-coloured trimmings that add contrast, followed by the leather upholstery finished in Crystal White.

Additional visual texture stems from the bouclé fabric that covers portions of the door panels, inner portion of the seat headrest cushions, and other sections of the seats. The floor mats, by the way, are made of linen and furry mohair.

Up front, the centre console features a plaque showing the car’s production number out of the aforementioned 150 units planned. Rose gold-colored champagne flutes, plus a special accessories set consisting of a hand-made gift box holding the vehicle's badge number, a scale model of the Maybach, and a key ring also comes with the car, plus a car cover with the brand logo and Haute Voiture badging.
