Porsche Centre Johor Bahru Opens As First Porsche 4S Outlet In Malaysia

Porsche Malaysia (Sime Darby Auto Performance – SDAP) sees its local network strengthened further as it officially opened the doors to the new Porsche Centre Johor Bahru. This is the brand’s first full-fledged 4S centre to open both locally and in the region as it incorporates the latest ‘Destination Porsche’ corporate architecture, plus a few other highlights.
Located in Johor Bahru’s upscale Danga Bay waterfront district, the 5,412 square foot facility saw SDAP invest up to RM28 million into its build. SDAP adds that the incorporation of the aforementioned ‘Destination Porsche’ motif was aimed at creating both a gathering space for like-minded Porsche enthusiasts, as well as appealing to new customers.

Besides an innovative new faced design that grants visibility into the new interior from the outside, the new Porsche Centre Johor Bahru also houses several new modules within its space. These include a new model Highlight display, E-Performance, Porsche Classic, Fitting Lounge, Delivery Bay, and a Certified Pre-Owned cars section.

Apart from that, the centre also boasts a swanky lounge area, plus two Porsche e-sports simulators similar to those present at the Porsche Centre Ara Damansara. Also present are a series of 175 kW high performance DC charging stations that are supplemented with 22 kW AC charging points too. Access to both is open exclusively to Porsche Taycan owners.

This being the brand’s first full-fledged 4S centre, it also houses the first Porsche-certified body & paint facility in Malaysia. This facility harnesses both advanced reconstructive repair techniques and materials to deliver high-quality paint restoration and bodywork repair. Altogether, it all promises to minimise both wear and the effects of time, as well as restoration back to showroom condition.

In terms of service, the new Porsche Centre Johor Bahru features nine service bays in total primed with the latest tech and tools, genuine Porsche parts, plus a staff force of skilled and certified technicians. “With the facility well-equipped to fulfil our customers’ needs, they can continue to bask in the fascination of driving a Porsche, while we care for their dream sports car,” said Christopher Hunter, SDAP’s CEO.

Additionally, the exec also keenly noted Porsche Centre Johor Bahru’s status as Malaysia’s first Porsche Classic Partner. Besides a heritage-theme display, it offers customers with specialist’ knowledge to advise on maintenance, repair, and restoration. Included too are technical support, use of genuine Porsche spare parts, direct access and interaction with Porsche AG Classic, and special procurement process for classic vehicle parts.

Poised to elevate brand experience for its customers, the new Porsche Centre Johor Bahru operates from 9AM to 6PM on weekdays, from 9AM to 5PM on Saturdays, and from 10AM to 4PM on Sundays. Additional details about the new centre are available online via its dedicated dealer site, which you can visit by clicking this link: Porsche Centre Johor Bahru.
Coinciding with the opening of its new centre in Johor Bahru, SDAP also seized the opportunity at announcing the availability of the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS. We’ll have a detailed report about this extreme and most track-focused iteration of the Cayman, priced from RM1.55 million onwards, in a separate report soon.
