This Tuned Maserati MC20 By Mansory Has 720 HP!

Already a stellar mid-engined supercar to begin with, the Maserarti MC20 marks the famed trident brand’s return to making agile midships that can rival against the likes of the Ferrari 296 GTB and McLaren 650S, for instance.

Despite its stellar performance and arguably sleek styling, there are several folks out there who think Maserati could’ve done better. Amongst them is, of course, renowned exotic car tuner Mansory. They are the latest to have a go with the Italian supercar and, as per its usual, the result is divisive.

For starters, Mansory have given the MC20 a rather extreme exterior makeover thanks to a rather outrageous aerokit. This dresses the MC20 a new front fascia with larger intakes, a new hood with vented sections, flared fenders to match, a new engine cover with an air scoop added, widened rear fenders, massive rear diffuser, and the all-important new rear wing which, aptly, is massive.

Of course, that’s not all. At the rear, Mansory has also given this MC20 a new quad-pipe exhaust, and it now rolls on larger – and wider – new 10-spoke alloy wheels finished in black. Speaking of colour, noteworthy here is the mix of exposed forged carbon fibre, satin-finish dark grey, and yellow stripes Mansory have imbued this MC20’s exterior with.

On board, the cabin has been re-upholstered in bright yellow, which almost makes the extreme exterior makeover seem somewhat ‘subtle’ in contrast. Apart from that, the seats do have white sections whilst the centre sports the colours of the Italian flag. There are also some trims finished in both black and white for added contrast too.

Thankfully, the rather loud exterior and interior makeover does come backed up with a seriously beefed up powertrain. That’s because Mansory have tweaked the MC20’s Nettuno 3.0-litre twin-turbo V8 to sing to the tune of 720 HP and 850 NM. Those figures mark significant bumps up from the stock powertrain’s figures of 621 HP and 729 NM.

No performance figures were mentioned as yet, but expect this Mansory-tuned MC20 to better the stock car’s 0-100 KM/H sprint time of 2.9 seconds and 323 KM/H top speed.

If this extreme redux of the Maserati MC20 by Mansory isn’t your cup of tea, then perhaps the upcoming Project24 special that Maserati is working on ought to sate your need for a ‘hotter’ MC20. However, take note that the latter is a caged, 740 HP special built for track use only, unlike this Mansory-fettled one that’s somewhat street-legal.
