MRT KL Sentral Escalator Handrail Broken Barely A Month After Repair

A twitter user by the handle @zulfadhlizahir shared earlier an issue with the escalator in KL Sentral MRT station. From the video shared, it is apparent that the handrail rubber guide had dislodged itself and is just being held together by the tension of the rain guides.
However it is also apparent that the escalator is being used as per normal. It is unclear if this issue just happened as this escalator could pose serious injuries should any user's hand get caught in between the handrail system. Hope this escalator is shut-off and promptly fixed immediately, not in months to come.

Furthermore, we did run a report on 16 Dec 2022 where Prasarana the concession holder for Rapid Rail published that the handrail on the escalator was replaced with a new unit after prolonged delays on 14 Dec 2022. The MRT and LRT facilities were fixed promptly after the current Minister of Transport YB Anthony Loke conducted surprise “spot-checks”.
