New Porsche 911 Spirit 70 Special Announced, Just 1,500 Units Planned

The third entry into Porsche's Heritage Design line comes in the form of the new 992.2-based 911 Spirit 70 pictured.
Porsche has created yet another limited-run special edition of iconic 911 sports coupe. Critically though, this is the first of which to be based on the latest refreshed iteration (992.2) of Stuttgart’s iconic sportscar that features a new electrified performance hybrid powertrain.
Announced earlier this week ahead of its planned Auto Shanghai 2025 appearance, the new Porsche 911 Spirit 70 edition follows up from the previous 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition and 911 Sport Classic specials, making it the third entry into Porsche’s Heritage Design line.

Set for an appearance at Auto Shanghai 2025, this new special is based on the now electrified 992.2-gen rear-wheel-drive GTS Cabriolet variant of the 911.
Based on the rear-wheel-drive GTS Cabriolet variant of the now electrified 992.2-gen 911, this special is powered by a 3.6-litre ‘boxer’ flat 6-cyl mill mounted in the rear that’s primed with Porsche’s new lag-free eTurbo system, altogether outputting 532 HP and 608 NM.
As standard, this special rolls on staggered 20-inch front and 21-inch rear Sport Classic centre-lock wheels. Adding a distinct touch here is the gold-grey paint, which Porsche calls Bronzite, applied on each wheel, which offsets well with the exterior’s Olive Neo green paint.

Special retro 1970s-inspired touches include the Olive Neo green paint, front hood's special stripes and '911' lettering, as well as racy side graphics that are also optional - buyers can request to delete which.
Said exterior base hue is then matched with black windscreen frame, customary soft-top also finished in black, followed by a trio of retro stripes adorned on the front hood. There’s also a special ‘911’ lettering decal here, which is elongated to mirror 1970s style.
Other notable ‘retro’ 1970-inspired touches added include the graphics with Porsche lettering and a satin black Lollipop with an individual start number referencing Porsche’s racing heritage. However, these decals can be deleted if a customer requests to.

Other special touches include the classic front hood crest design, as well as optional gold-plated front fender and engine cover badges.
Completing the special exterior is a unique hood crest that’s identical to the original badge used in 1963. Not enough? Optional gold-plated “Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur” front fender badges, “Porsche Heritage” engine grille badge, and gold 'Porsche' lettering and designation at the rear are available too.
Inside, the Porsche 911 Spirit 70 boasts seat centers and other accents finished in black and Olive Neo Pasha with a checkered flag motif. The seat covers themselves are made using a combination of textile and flock yarn, whilst the decorative inlays on the seat backrests and the dash are available in Pasha as a no-cost option.

Besides the seats and cabin accents, what's unique here too is the retro 1970s-inspired outlook of both the digital instrument display and Sport Chrono dashboard clock.
The 1970s era nod continues in the finer details too, like the digital instrument cluster. In this special, said display sees white pointers and scale lines in an analog format and green digits, much like what you’ll see in classic 911s.
Moreover, the Sport Chrono dashboard clock also gains a vintage redux with green digits and white pointers. Buyers also have the option of ordering a Porsche Design chronograph to go along with their ride.
Speaking of, Porsche notes that just 1,500 units of the Porsche 911 Spirit 70 detailed with be offered worldwide, and each reportedly command a €240,000 (approx. RM1.21 million) base price tag in Germany – a significantly higher premium over the base GTS Cabriolet it underpins.
