Waze Tests New Alerts Warning Drivers About Roads With Past Crashes
According to Israeli tech news site Geektime, a new beta version of Waze can alert users about roads with statistically high crash occurrences based on its community data. When using this new beta version of Waze, nearby high-risk roads are highlighted in red on the map. However, Geektime warns that it may not do so for roads that the user frequently travels on. The feature also only displays one pop-up notification about the dangerous roads around the driver, possibly to keep caution from becoming anxiety.
