Mitsubishi Outlander Ralliart ‘Super-SUV’ Rumoured For Production, 2024 Release

It seems the Mitsubishi Vision Ralliart Concept shown last year might head into production soon ahead of a market release in 2024 if recent rumours on the web are anything to go by.
Much of this stems from a report by Japanese website BestCarWeb, which indicates that Mitsubishi will turn the Vision Ralliart Concept into a production model based on the existing Outlander PHEV. Said report further indicates that the so called Outlander Ralliart could hit the market with a peppier powertrain whilst retaining much of the concept’s visual aesthetics.

BestCarWeb suggests that Mitsubishi will employ a 2.4-liter 4-cyl engine paired with two electric motors plus a 20 kWh battery. The combustion element will apparently produce 133 HP whilst the electrification will boost things up to a combined output of 286 HP, thus putting this upcoming super-SUV on par with the final edition Lancer Evolution in terms of power.
Aesthetically, the Vision Ralliart Concept featured an enclosed grille and a beefed-up bumper primed with a lower section filled with small holes. Also showcased were 22-inch wheels plus flared wheel arches. At the rear sat a pronounced diffuser with an F1-inspired centre braking light, plus a large spoiler stretching out from the roof.

Mitsubishi also primed the concept with larger brake rotors and six-piston calipers which, along with the aesthetic details mentioned, seems likely to be retained in the rumoured production version. It will also benefit with several critical chassis upgrades. Other details beyond this remains unconfirmed.
Should this concept become a production reality, it will see Mitsubishi finally having somewhat a full-blown performance flagship – a mantle last held by the Lancer Evolution rally-bred performance sedan.
What do you folks think, then? Should Mitsubishi make this Ralliart-badged super-SUV based on its current Outlander PHEV then?
