KTMB: Additional Raya, Labour Day Train Tickets Presently On Sale
It appears that Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) has announced additional Electric Train Service (ETS) provided in conjunction with this year’s Hari Raya Aidilftri and Labour Day.
Presently on sale, people who wanted to buy tickets can do so right now as it has been made available since Friday (March 24,2023).
According to the train schedule for Hari Raya, starting from April 19 to 25, the ETS trains will operate from KL Sentral - Padang Besar - KL Sentral including two more for KL Sentral – Butterworth - KL Sentral. Thus, it involves a total of 14 services with each offering 4,410 tickets for buyers.
Aside from that, the additional train services for Hari Raya offers 1,260 tickets per day for the earlier sold-out routes which adds up to a sum of 13,860 tickets for the whole period plus business class coaches.
Speaking of another memo, KTMB further informs that additional train services also will be presented to commemorate the Labor Day.
According to KTMB, with a total of 5,040 tickets offered, 16 extra train services will be on duty starting from April 28 to May 1.
Referring to the Labor Day train schedule, the departure times for additional ETS trains from KL Sentral to Padang Besar route departs at 11 AM (Padang Besar-KL Sentral) and 5.05 PM (KL Sentral-Padang Besar) whereas the KL Sentral to Butterworth take off at 11.40 AM (Butterworth-KL Sentral) plus 4.40PM (KL Sentral-Butterworth).
"The public is encouraged to get tickets online and view the train schedule provided through the KTM Mobile (KITS) application or on the KTMB website www.ktmb.com.my for an easier and faster cashless purchase," said KTMB.
