New Lamborghini Revuelto 1,000 HP V12 ‘HPEV’ Flagship Supercar Revealed
Famed Italian supercar purveyors Lamborghini has ushered in a new and electrified era as it took the covers off its sixth and latest V12-engined flagship. Called the Lamborghini Revuelto LB744 in full, it now stands as Lamborghini’s premier ‘High Performance Electrified Vehicle’ or ‘HPEV’.
The Revuelto keeps to House Sant’agata’s tradition of naming their cars from the age-old sport of bullfighting. This latest one is christened after a famous fighting bull that ruled the Barcelona bullfighting scene of the 1880s.

The other ‘tradition’ the marque has kept is the employment of a naturally aspirated V12 that revs to the stratosphere. Unlike its predecessors though, the Revuelto has the added benefits of electrification to boost power and performance, as well as keeping the brand relevant in this challenging age of ever-tightening emissions restrictions.

As detailed prior, the Revuelto’s 6.5-litre V12 is a complete redux from past iterations. It has been spun round by a full 180-degrees and sees its slick new 8-speed DCT gearbox mounted transversely at the rear. And instead of turbos, this mill now works in tandem with three electric motors – one in the transmission, and one ‘Axial Flux’ motor on each front wheel.
Whilst the V12 already delivers a manic 814 HP to stand as the most powerful mill ever built by Lamborghini, electrification supplements that with a further 190 HP, and thus sees total output read at a whopping 1,0001 HP – the first in the brand’s history to surpass 1,000 HP.

Coupled with the combined torque outputs of 725 NM and the new 8-speed DCT mentioned to drive all four wheels, Lamborghini says that the Revuelto will despatch 0-100 KM/H in just 2.5 seconds, 0-200 KM/H in 7.0 seconds, and reach a V-max of 349 KM/H.
Powering the electric system is a 3.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack mounted in the central tunnel. Charging can be done by either plugging in to a 7 kW supply and taking 30 minutes to draw a full charge. Alternatively, the rear motor can also fully recharge it directly in just 6 minutes. Noteworthy too is the system’s offer of up to 10 KM under full electric power.

Again, as we’ve detailed prior, all this is encased within a revolutionary new chassis architecture made using carbon fibre primarily that keeps weight down and rigidity high. Additionally, the powertrain’s trick electronics also offers up to 13 selectable drive modes that allow drivers to maximise the Revuelto for any given occasion or purpose.
Obviously, the biggest talking point since its full unveiling lies in design. Things on this front remain sharp, wild, and very angular with distinctive LED DRLs, matrix headlights and taillights; sculpted intakes, buttresses, and aerodynamic bits; not forgetting the new and raised position of its tailpipes at the rear, as well as the presence of signature scissor doors.

Moving inside into the cabin, Lamborghini have blessed the Revuelto with several key new bits including a new steering wheel design. Also present are up to three screens, one 12.3-inch unit serving as the digital instrumentation, another 8.4-inch portrait-oriented unit as the central infotainment unit, not forgetting a third 9.1-inch screen serving as an interactive passenger display.
Noteworthy too is the fact the Revuelto is primed with a complete safety package seen for the first time on a Lamborghini supercar. This adds advanced and active assists (ADAS) features, namely things like lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and rear cross-traffic alert.

As far as plug-in hybrid (PHEV) supercars go, the new Revuelto has carved a niche of its own compared to another Italian 1,000HP PHEV flagship supercar, albeit with a blown V8 heart – the Ferrari SF90 Stradale. Surely, the draw of taming this raging bull’s stratospheric and electrifying V12 powertrain will be hard to resist for those with the means.
Presently, Lamborghini hasn’t revealed any pricing details for the Revuelto just yet, but it is expected to start at around US$650,000 (approx. RM2.88 million) when it goes on sale later this year.
