Local electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions start-up ChargeSini (ChargeHere EV Solution Sdn Bhd) is set to grow bigger in 2023. This follows on from a highly successful round of fundraising held by the firm earlier this month, which saw it raise over RM5 million from both existing and new investors.
This recent round of fundraising by ChargeSini was held through the novel online equity crowdfunding platform pitchIN. Through the platform, investors were given a highly detailed campaign pitch designed by ChargeSini’s business development unit.

ChargeSini as a brand presently holds a valuation worth about RM50 million. The fundraising effort saw ChargeSini attract no less than 62 investors in total, with a good mix of both local and international parties present, the latter hailing from Singapore, Indonesia, as well as Cambodia.
Whilst the initial target was to raise up to RM5 million, the stellar efforts by ChargeSini’s business development unit saw the firm to exceed said target by RM200,000. In total, ChargeSini successfully raised a grand total of RM5.2 million.
One of the latest to go online in the ChargeSini network is the AC and DC charging stations located at the MyTown KL mall.
Said funds will be utilised to boost ChargeSini’s growth ambitions this year, with the increased number of its EV chargers installed being a key benchmark. By the end of 2023, ChargeSini aims to have at least 500 or more of its EV chargers operational nationwide.
“As EV adoption rapidly increases amongst many Malaysians, ChargeSini will play a key role in this significant market transformation. We thank all our existing and new investors for their trust and faith in us. Together, we stand not only to further propel e-mobility amongst Malaysians, but also towards a greener future for all,” said James Goh, Founder and CEO of ChargeSini.

Presently, ChargeSini’s network of publicly accessible EV chargers covers no less than 28 locations within the Klang Valley itself. One of the latest additions here are the AC and DC chargers installed at MyTown KL mall, which includes ChargeSini’s first DC charger (Stellar40) to go online in the Klang Valley.
Beyond the Klang Valley, ChargeSini’s network includes charging stations located in several other states too. Notable here are the charging stations located at the Megaview Hotel in Kuantan, Pahang; Terminal 1 in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan; as well as the Oriental Straits Medical Centre in Malacca City, Malacca.

Despite only launching initial operations in July 2022, ChargeSini saw a sizeable 405% growth in its EV charging station deployment between October 2022 and April 2023. Network growth aside, ChargeSini is also poised for further business expansion through White Labelling its proprietary software.
