Though the Porsche Cayenne recently underwent a major update, the famed Stuttgart-based sportscar brand has yet to release its electrified flagship version for which just yet. Now, the firm has released some details of said range-topper that’s in the final phase of development.
Prior to this, Porsche last offered the outgoing Cayenne in Turbo S E-Hybrid guise, with said super-PHEV SUV delivering combined outputs of 670 HP and 900 NM. This new flagship is set to succeed said previous PHEV performance offering.

Set to be the most powerful – and priciest – iteration of the latest-gen Cayenne, it promises to deliver over 700 HP and at least 900 NM through the combination of a turbocharged V8 assisted by a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) system. Moreover, said flagship will be sold in both regular SUV and coupe SUV bodystyles too.
Buyers of the Coupe-bodied version will reportedly see an optional GT Package offered. This adds plenty of similar elements seen in the existing Turbo GT variant that’s not sold in Europe due to emissions standards, namely through additions like a revised suspension, carbon fibre roof, and fixed rear wing.

At present, this electrified flagship Cayenne’s 0-100 KM/H sprint time remains unclear, but reports online indicate it will be able to hit a V-max well beyond 300 KM/H. Also unclear right now is the powertrain’s all-electric range, as well as this new flagship super-PHEV SUV’s launch date.
Revealed back in April this year, the heavily updated Porsche Cayenne saw one of the most extensive product upgrades ever performed by Porsche on a single model. It saw a host of new powertrains including new electrified PHEV choices delivering increased outputs and heightened performance out of it.

Revealed earlier this year, the heavily revised 2024 Porsche Cayenne saw one of the most extensive product updates ever performed by the marque.
Revisions were also made to the chassis to improve its overall handling abilities, especially in higher-end guises and variants. On board, the cabin was also fully revised and features two or three (optional) new digital display screens.
Locally, the outgoing Cayenne model recently reached a milestone with local brand custodian Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP) saw the 1,000th locally assembled (CKD) unit, made by partners Inokom, roll off the line in Kulim, Kedah – the first Cayenne CKD operation outside Europe, in fact.

The Cayenne stands as one of Porsche's best-sellers next to the smaller Macan SUV.
Given the Cayenne nameplate’s high demands, as well as its critical contributions to Porsche’s annual sales figures, expect this latest-gen Cayenne, and the subsequent new super-PHEV flagship detailed, to garner equally warm, if not better, reception than its predecessor.
