Volvo Car Malaysia (VCM) has refreshed its 'Recharge' PHEV range for the 2024MY guise. Amongst them are the S60 and S90 saloons, their lifted XC60 and XC90 SUV twins, and the V60 estate (not pictured).
Volvo Car Malaysia (VCM) announced today that it has full refreshed its entire range of ‘Recharge’ plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models for the new 2024 model year (2024MY). Amongst them are key offerings like the S60 and S90 saloons, their lifted XC60 and XC90 SUV twins, as well as the lone V60 long-roofed wagon.

Common across all five models in their new 2024MY guise is an upgraded 6.4 kW OBC unit replacing the
3.6 KW unit primed in previous iterations.

Common too is a new panoramic glass roofs added as standard fitment, as well as a 5-year complimentary Digital Services package with enhanced Google features and the Volvo Cars app remote function.
Before we detail minor styling changes in each, take note that all five now share the same upgraded on-board charger (OBC) for their respective PHEV systems. What were 3.6 kW OBC units prior have been replaced with new and higher-voltage 6.4 kW units that promises quicker charging times when plugged in.
Also common across all five in their new 2024MY guises is the addition of a panoramic sunroof as standard kit, and the inclusion of a 5-year complimentary Digital Services package. The latter enables access to the Google Assistant, Google Maps, Google Play Store, and the Volvo Cars app.
The updated built-in infotainment systems in all five models also gain access to the YouTube app, but it can only be consumed whilst the vehicle is stationary as a safety precaution. Previous Volvo models primed with the same Google-powered infotainment will receive YouTube access via an over-the-air (OTA) update.
As for the Volvo Cars app specifically, this round of updates – also disseminated via OTA patches – will now enable a sleuth of remote function. Key amongst which is scheduled battery charging.

Pictured here is the refreshed 2024MY XC60 Recharge sporting the new Vapour Grey paintjob options that's now available across all five models.
Specifically in the S90 Recharge flagship saloon, this model now sports new eight-spoke wheels, whilst both the S60 and its long-roofed V60 twin roll on new six-spoke wheels design. Other common refreshed bits across all five PHEV models is the offer of a new Vapour Grey paint option.
Apart from the upgraded OBC, there are no other mechanical changes. All five still see the aforementioned hybrid systems working in tandem with a 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbo heart. Altogether, the pairing drives all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic box and all-wheel-drive with (AWD) with 462 PS and 709 NM.

It appears all five Recharge PHEV models see no changes in price too, which reads between RM313,888 and RM432,888 sans insurance.
As for price, VCM didn’t highlight any changes on this front. However, a quick glance online via VCM’s online sales portal shows all five models retaining the same base prices as before – between RM313,888 and RM432,888 (excluding insurance).
Apart from what we just detailed, there no little to no further changes to report. Prospects keen on acquiring either one can now place bookings through VCM’s online purchasing platform. Viewing and test-drive appointments can also be made at all authorised showrooms and dealers nationwide.
