Sportier And Higher Performing, The Lynk & Co 03 ++ Debuts In China
Lynk & Co, the Geely and Volvo owned brand has just uncaged their latest sports saloon in China. Alias, 03 ++.
A fourth-generation build, it comes in two versions, the Lynk & Co 03 ++ Racing and the Lynk & Co 03 ++ TCR Cyan.
Underpinned is the Volvo-made CMA platform, similar to the regular second-generation 03 and Volvo XC40.
Carried over from the third-generation 03+, nestled in its chassis is an engine tuned by Powertrain Engineering Sweden AB (Aurobay).
It is an upgraded 2.0-Litre turbo petrol, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, producing 350 HP and 450 NM of torque.
The 03 ++ Racing uses an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system, while the 03 ++ TCR Cyan uses a Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) system.
Highlights for version 03 ++ Racing are NFC-key, AR navigation, 10 speakers, climatised front seats, suede interior, safety cameras, ultrasonic sensors,19-Inch rims in 245/35 ZR tyres, and horizontally-aligned twin exhausts.
Whereas, for version 03 ++ TCR Cyan, it sees wider wheel arches, carbon fibre rear spoiler, carbon fibre body fitments, 19-Inch rims in 265/30 ZR (front) and 245/35 ZR (rear) tyres, and vertically-aligned twin exhausts.
Interior has been track-modified, featuring deletion of most equipment. Instead, it gets fitted with a half-roll cage, Sparco racing seats up front, and four speakers.
Besides that, both versions are alike, featuring an aggressive front- and rear-end. The former sees a double-splitter, and the latter a more prominent spoiler.
Optional add-ons are performance brakes (RMB 5,500/MYR 3,583), six-point seat belts (RMB 4,500/MYR 2,932), roll cage (RMB 10,000/MYR 6,515) and racing suit (RMB 18,000/MYR 1,603).
All things considered, the Lynk & Co 03 ++ Racing is priced at RMB 285,800 (MYR 186,210) and the Lynk & Co 03 ++ TCR Cyan at RMB 420,300 (MYR 273,886).
Deliveries of the Lynk & Co 03 ++ will be limited to 40 units per month, with initial roll-outs planned for December 2023.
