BMW Group Malaysia has announced a new price increment for both BMW and MINI models in Malaysia
BMW Group Malaysia has announced a new price update for both BMW and MINI models in Malaysia, set to be enforced from Jan 1, 2024 onwards. The firms further stated that this increment is a response to the fluctuating global inflation rate and rising manufacturing costs.
With this update applicable specifically to both the BMW and MINI Service and Repair Inclusive (BSRI and MSRI) packages, this update will see existing BMW models with BSRI rise by approximately 2.3% in prices. Meanwhile, MINI models with MSRI will experience just a slight 0.3% increase in their prices.
As for new models without both BSRI and MSRI add-ons, BMW Group Malaysia stated that all BMW models across the portfolio will experience a slight price increase of 1% to 2%, depending on the model. On the other hand, MINI Malaysia’s current line-up will not receive a price update next year, as this increment only applies to MSRI-included models.
Facelifted BMW 320i M Sport model, launched earlier this year
While both BMW and MINI have yet to update their official price lists, a simple calculation could see core BMW models like the 3 Series increase in price by up to RM6,000, while other more expensive models might experience higher price increases. For reference, the baseline BMW 320i M Sport CKD model is priced at RM263,600 on-the-road, while opting for the Extended Warranty and Service Package sees its price go up to RM283,800.
This new price increment is part of the group’s annual price update, with the previous one taking place earlier this year in Jan. As for now, BMW Group Malaysia has yet to publish the updated price list for both BMW and MINI, so we may have to wait until its Jan 1, 2024 commencement date to know the exact increment for each BMW and MINI model.
