First Units of Tesla Model 3 Highland Delivered to Customers
The first 100 units of Tesla Model 3 Highland facelift have been delivered to customers
Tesla Motors Malaysia has commenced the deliveries of the Tesla Model 3 Highland facelift to its customers, starting yesterday (Nov 29). This also makes the Model 3 the first model to be delivered by the American EV maker in Malaysia, since its establishment in our local market earlier this year.
Taking place at Tesla Malaysia’s headquarters in Cyberjaya, a total of 100 units of the facelifted Model 3 Highland were delivered to the first few customers in Malaysia, with more units set to be delivered in the near future.
Launched back in Oct this year, the Model 3 Highland facelift arrives in two main guises for our local market. The base-specced Model 3 RWD model is powered by a single, rear-mounted (RWD) electric motor that propels it from nought to 100 KM/H in 6.1 seconds. With a maximum EV range of 495 KM (WLTP), the Model 3 RWD is retailed at RM189,000.
Meanwhile, the top-specced Model 3 Long Range AWD gets a peppier dual-motor setup that allows it for a century sprint time of only 4.4 seconds, while its maximum range has been boosted to 629 KM (WLTP). With all its extra power and better range, the Model 3 LR AWD is tagged at RM218,000.
Tesla Malaysia's first service centre in Cyberjaya has been opened today
This first delivery event was also held concurrently with the official launch of the Tesla Cyberjaya service centre – the first of its kind to be opened in our country. Located at Persiaran Apec, Cyber 6, this 22,000-square-foot complex provides a one-stop service experience to Tesla owners, along with the support of Over-the-air (OTA) remote diagnosis, a 24/7 owner hotline, and many more. Tesla owners can schedule their appointments via the Tesla mobile app.
Furthermore, Tesla Motors Malaysia has also launched the Premium Connectivity service for the Malaysian market. Now available for subscription via the mobile app at RM35.99 per month, this connected service grants Tesla users with a slew of data-enabled functions via their car’s infotainment unit. This includes music and media streaming services, live traffic visualisation, a dedicated internet data package, and more.
With the first few units of Tesla cars already delivered in Malaysia, Tesla Motors Malaysia also invited new owners to join the official Tesla Owners Club Malaysia, where they can enjoy privileges from various Tesla partners. Plus, club members will also be invited to special members-only events and gatherings, which will be announced later in the future.
