New Entry-Level MINI Countryman C Introduced

New to the third-gen MINI Countryman range is the new MINI Countryman C entry-level offering.
The latest third generation MINI Countryman sees its range expanded with a new entry-level offering called the MINI Countryman C.
Touted as a “comfortable, spacious, and efficient” crossover, the Countryman C employs BMW Group’s staple 1.5-litre 3-cyl turbo petrol primed with mild-hybrid (MHEV) setup. Altogether, this delivers 168 HP and 280 NM, all driving the front wheels via a dual-clutch automatic box (DCT).
Performance isn’t too shabby, with MINI claiming 0-100 KM/H sprints done in 8.3 seconds before topping out at 212 KM/H. Crucially, the added MHEV system sees this mill lean strongly towards efficiency, and MINI claims as average consumption rate as low as 6.1 litres/100 KM.

Besides a 1.5-litre 3-cyl turbo MHEV powertrain, the Countryman C also adopts a FWD driveline.


Aesthetically, the Countryman C is easily denote through its black exterior cladding, 17-inch wheels, and its silver or metallic black paintjob options.
Aptly, as the entry-level offering, the Countryman C’s exterior design appears more basic simple over the Countryman S variant slotted above which. Key traits giving away its entry-level status include black plastic claddings, smaller 17-inch alloy wheels, and either silver or black metallic paint choices.
Though BMW Group didn’t release any interior images, the cabin of the Countryman C will see a dash of colour still through two-tone cloth seat colours. The 9.5-inch OLED circular display remains, which serves two purposes simultaneously – infotainment and instrument readout.
Whilst on the cabin still, the rear seat bench can slide up to 5.1 includes, thus allowing greater flexibility between rear legroom and cargo space. Regarding the latter, up to 1,460 litres of luggage is available in this entry-level Countryman C model.

Availability in other markets remains unconfirmed for now, but expect the Countryman C to be offered in most alongside its similar entry-level BMW X1 cousin.
