The Fiat Titanio Is The Peugeot Landtrek’s New ‘Italian’ Twin
-full.jpg)
Say hello, or 'ciao!' if you prefer it, to the Fiat Titanio - the Peugeot Landtrek's newest 'twin'.
Stellantis seems to have found new avenues to market the mid-sized pick-up truck offering that it jointly-developed with China’s Changan Automobile. The Kaicene F70, or better known to us as the Peugeot Landtrek, now boasts a new ‘Italian’ twin christened as the Fiat Titanio.
Unveiled this week in Algeria, Stellantis is poised to market this Fiat-badged version of said pick-up truck offering in both the African and Latin American markets. Unsurprisingly, there are notable similarities and differences to note in this Fiat-badged twin over the Peugeot-badged truck we're familiar with.

Both the Landtrek and Titanio are very similar in looks, albeit the latter Fiat offering does sport slightly different grille, badges, 18-inch wheels, and tailgate model script.
As far as exterior styling goes, it’s pretty obvious that this Fiat isn’t too different from the Peugeot truck we’re familiar with. Said Fiat does boast redesigned front grille, badges, 18-inch wheels, and tailgate model script. Apart from which, little else has changed.
Like the Landtrek for Malaysia, Stellantis offers the Titanio in Algeria in dual-cab (crew cab) 4x4 form. However, the automaker will also offer Algerian buyers the option for a lower-end single-cab 4x2 option that puts carga haulage space as a priority instead.

On board, the Titanio's cabin largely mirrors the Peugeot Landtrek yet again, but only the range-topping 'Vulcano' variant offers the 10-inch touchscreen infotainment.
On board, the cabin is also largely shared with the Peugeot version, though the steering wheel wears the Fiat emblem now. Notably, only the Titano Volcano flagship guise gets a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen primed in the dash.
While the Landtrek is marketed as an alternative ‘lifestyle pick-up truck’ in Malaysia, the Titanio for Algeria instead sees a lot of its marketing centered on fuel efficiency. It uses the same 1.9-litre 4-cyl turbo-diesel primed in the Malaysia-spec Landtrek, which offers 148 HP and 350 NM.
However, said powerplant is mated exclusively to a 6-speed manual transmission only across all variants of the Titanio in said North African market. Said package does get brimmed with an electric differential lock, altogether promising a payload capacity of up to 1,210 KG.

Depending on market, the Titanio sees both single- and dual-cab, plus 4x2 and 4x4 driveline choices available. In contrast, the Peugeot Landtrek is sold in dual-cab 4x4 form only in Malaysia.
As for the Fiat Titanio bound for Latin American markets such as Brazil, sources online confirm that Stellantis will offer peppier 2.2-litre turbo-diesel and 2.4-litre turbo petrol choices as well – the former boasting 197 HP and 440 NM, whilst the latter has 207 HP and 320 NM.
But unlike markets like Algeria, the Brazil-bound Fiat Titanio will only come solely in dual-cab body – just as how Stellantis markets the Peugeot Landtrek here in Malaysia. Said Brazil-bound Fiat-badged pick-up will also be produced en masse at Stellantis’s Nordex plant in Uruguay.
What do you folks think of this pseudo-Italian twist to the same Sino-French pick-up truck that's both made and sold here instead? As always, share your thoughts in the comments below, as well as our social media pages…
