Ops Selamat 22 Coincides With Hari Raya - Apr 8 To 13

Datuk Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri, Director of the Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT), told the media at a "Buka Puasa" event yesterday that this year's Ops Selamat 22 would coincide with the upcoming Hari Raya celebrations from April 8 to 13.

According to reports, Ops Selamat 22 is primarily concerned with ensuring a smooth flow of traffic as people return home.

In addition to traffic management, JSPT would collaborate with the Crime Prevention and Community Security Department to protect vacant homes and properties during the festival.

When asked about the increased traffic congestion in the Federal Capital during Ramadan, Azman stated that approximately one million vehicles enter the city each day for work and Hari Raya shopping, which causes traffic congestion.

To address this issue, JSTP identified 140 traffic hotspots and stationed 200 traffic personnel to help relieve congestion. He also advised motorists to be patient and follow traffic regulations and instructions from on-duty traffic officers.
