Nissan Hyper Force concept previewing how the mighty GT-R model could look like when it is reborn as an EV sportscar.
Nissan remains confident despite the influx of budget electric vehicles (EVs) from China, emphasising its strategy to deliver superior driving experiences and advanced technology. The company is not threatened by the competitive pricing of Chinese EVs, and is instead focused on leveraging its rich automotive heritage and engineering expertise.
In a recent discussion with Australia’s Drive.com.au, Nissan’s Sunderland factory Senior Vice-President Francois Bailly highlighted that the emotional connection and driving experience that Nissan offers topples the competitive pricing.
Nissan is focusing on reducing EV costs, aiming for price parity with petrol models by early 2030. The brand is also enhancing its lineup with next-gen Leaf and electric Juke and Qashqai models.
In the meantime, Nissan is also investing heavily in the development of solid-state batteries, which promise faster charging times, greater range, and enhanced safety. Said battery tech is set to be a game-changer, particularly for high-performance models like the anticipated new GT-R successor.
