Updated Audi e-tron GT Gets New 912-HP RS Performance Variant

The 2025 Audi e-tron GT breaks cover with a new 912-HP-rated RS e-tron GT Performance variant.
Debuted globally in 2021, the enigmatic Audi e-tron GT is due for an update. For the 2025 model year (2025 MY) update, this sleek performance EV Gran Tourer arrives with a new range-topping RS e-tron GT Performance variant, while the rest of its lineup benefits from several key equipment upgrades.

For starters, all 2025 e-tron GT models will be juiced by a new 97-kWh battery pack, which surprisingly weighs 9 KG lighter than the previous 84-kWh unit used prior. The new battery pack is coupled with an improved regenerative braking system with up to 400 kW of regenerative capabilities, while the DCFC is boosted to 320 kW, allowing a 10-80% charge to finish in just 18 minutes.
All in all, Audi claims that the 2025 e-tron GT can travel up to 609 KM on a single charge, provided that it is driven under “ideal conditions.”

The new Audi S e-tron GT is the baseline model for the 2025 MY e-tron GT lineup.
Audi engineers have also revamped the new e-tron GT’s electric motor setup. Starting with the baseline model, which is now known as the S e-tron GT, it features a pair of electric motors that deliver a total system output of 670 HP (500 kW)—more powerful than the pre-updated RS e-tron GT.

Meanwhile, the 2025 Audi RS e-tron GT gets a peppier dual-motor AWD setup rated at 845 HP (630 kW), whereas the flagship RS e-tron GT Performance gets the peppiest setup rated at a whopping 912 HP (680 kW), making it the most powerful Audi ever.
All these power upgrades translate to a faster century sprint time, with the baseline S e-tron GT clocking in at just 3.4 seconds, while the new RS e-tron GT goes faster at 2.8 seconds. Predictably, the top-dog RS e-tron GT Performance takes the top prize, blasting from 0-100 KM/H in just 2.5 seconds. As for their V-Maxes, the two top RS variants are capped at 250 KM/H, while the S model gets a lower cut-off at 245 KM/H instead.

Significant changes have also been made on several other mechanical parts of the 2025 MY e-tron GT, with the baseline S e-tron GT model coming standard with steel brakes, while the top RS models get tungsten carbide-coated discs instead. Alternatively, all models will be offered with optional carbon-ceramic discs with 10-piston front callipers. As for the dampers, all 2025 e-tron GT variants will get air suspensions as standard, along with optional active suspensions and rear-wheel steering (RWS).

Topping off the list of equipment upgrades is the interior, where all new e-tron GTs benefit from new seats with optional 18-way adjustments, a new steering wheel design, and an optional panoramic glass roof with a photochromic dimming function. Also new here are the updated Audi virtual cockpit system for both the infotainment display and the instrument cluster, as well as a plethora of cabin materials such as wood veneers and Dinamica microfibre, to name a few.

Set to go on sale in Europe some time next year, the all-new 2025 Audi e-tron GT now starts at €126,000 (RM637,471) for the baseline S e-tron GT, €147,500 (RM746,246) for the RS e-tron GT, and the new flagship RS e-tron GT Performance tops the lineup at €160,500 (RM812,017). As of now, there is no news regarding the availability of these updated EV GTs for the international market, although we can expect them to arrive sooner or later.
