RON95 Subsidy Eligibility Based On PADU System, Will Integrate With Budi MADANI Data

The Ministry of Economy has announced that the RON95 targeted subsidy mechanism will rely entirely on data from the Central Database Hub (PADU) and eligibility for this subsidy will be determined based on net household disposable income.
PADU serves as a comprehensive data repository for Malaysian individuals and households and permanent residents. As of March 31, 2024, 10.55 million individuals have updated their personal information in the PADU system.

The system is currently in its second phase, which focuses on data analysis to ascertain household details, reasonable expenditure, and net disposable income. This information was shared on the Parliament’s website by the ministry.
Additionally in response to an inquiry by Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman regarding PADU’s exclusion from targeted diesel subsidy applications, the ministry explained that the steps for retargeting fuel subsidies began with the Budi MADANI and data collected will be periodically shared and integrated into PADU to enhance the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the available data.
