DC Handal DCFCs Spotted at Xpeng Glenmarie Outlet

In case you missed it, Chinese automaker Xpeng recently announced a partnership with local charging point operator (CPO) DC Handal, with the latter firm set to provide local Xpeng EV owners access to its charging facilities.
Within days after the brand’s launch, it appears DC Handal has already installed several DC charging stations with Xpeng’s branding. These two dynamic DC Handal DC fast chargers spotted by us are specifically located inside the compound of the newly-opened Xpeng showroom in Glenmarie.

Both of DC Handal's 40 kW DCFC (left) & 80 kW DCFC units are located within the compound of the Xpeng Glenmarie showroom.
The first of the two units turns out to be a 40 kW DC charger featuring two charging guns located just at the front of the main showroom building. Meanwhile, the second DCFC that takes up two parking spaces is the higher-rated 80 kW unit, also featuring two guns.

And just like other DC Handal chargers out there, these two units inside Xpeng’s showroom lot also come with direct payment terminals, where users can immediately activate the chargers without using any mobile apps and pay directly to the terminal using their credit cards.
Speaking of payment, pricing rates for both of these chargers start at RM1.20 per kWh for the 40 kW unit, while the faster 80 kW unit is priced higher at RM1.30 per kWh.
With that being said, it is important to note that these chargers are still not officially online, and they are still not visible in DC Handal’s roaming partner apps. However you can still activate and charge your vehicle by simply using either a debit or credit card.

We reached out to folks at DC Handal for clarification. The CPO also mentioned that once fully operational, the 80 kW will be available for public usage, while the 40 kW charger will be reserved exclusively for Xpeng EV owners only.
