Alpine A390_β: Tri-Motor F1 Inspired Lightweight Fastback

Alpine has unveiled the A390_β, its first 100% electric sport fastback. As the second model in the brand's highly anticipated Dream Garage lineup, it sits between the A290 and the future electric A110.
The A390_β introduces a bold new fastback design language for Alpine, inspired by the natural elements of the Alps. The car’s sleek side profile and steep rear window are designed to enhance aerodynamics while maintaining a strong visual identity.

One of the most striking aspects of the A390_β is its "Bleu Specular" paint. The signature colour accentuates its sharp lines and gives the impression of motion, even at standstill.
Meanwhile, the lighting system, featuring "Cosmic Dust" illuminated triangles both up front and in the rear, adds a futuristic touch that complements the car's high-tech features.

Aerodynamics play a critical role in the A390_β’s performance. Key elements, such as the front "flying bridge" and micro-perforated grille, optimise airflow, reducing drag and improving efficiency.
Notable too is the rear retractable light strip that not only enhances design aesthetics, it also optimises airflow for improved range and stability.

Inside, the A390_β’s cabin delivers a fusion of sportiness and comfort. The front half of the interior channels the precision of a Formula 1 cockpit, with F1-inspired steering wheel includes an “overtake” button for instant power boosts, while the seat automatically adjusts between everyday driving and performance modes, allowing for a tailored driving experience.
In contrast, the rear of the cabin offers passengers a sense of luxury and comfort. With memory foam seats and a seamless bench designed. The materials used, including crystal-like accents and carbon detailing, contribute to a luxurious yet dynamic atmosphere.

The A390_β is built on Alpine’s heavily modified AmpR Medium platform, tailored to run a three electric motors setup powering all four wheels. It will also feature Active Torque Vectoring to offer exceptional cornering ability. However no power figures are detailed at this juncture.
This sophisticated technology, often found in hypercars, gives the A390_β lightweight, nimble handling reminiscent of Alpine’s iconic A110 model.

By blending iconic design with environmental responsibility Alpine’s focus on sustainability is clear. The A390_β is slated for production in 2025, poised to redefine the sport fastback segment by seamlessly combining performance, sustainability, and design.
