Govt Will Integrate My50 Pass With TnG E-Wallet Soon
Rapid KL's My50 unlimited ride pass will soon be integrated with Touch 'n Go eWallet, allowing users to enjoy smooth monthly renewals. According to Transport Minister Anthony Loke the integration will enable train users to conveniently renew their passes without having to wait in line at LRT station counters.
The My50 pass, which has been extended under Budget 2025, is anticipated to be finished in the upcoming months and currently has 220,000 monthly users. For just RM50 per month, users can enjoy unlimited rides on RapidKL's LRT, MRT, Monorail, and BRT services in addition to RapidKL's bus and MRT feeder buses in the Klang Valley.
Loke emphasized the significance of the My50 monthly pass, saying that the government subsidy is meant to increase the affordability and accessibility of public transportation. He emphasized that the government's entire subsidy, which includes the My50 pass, comes to RM1,200 annually for each user. As a result, the government offers subsidies to Prasarana, which in turn encourages people to use public transportation.
He stated, “We implement this (subsidy provision) based on several objectives: to reduce the cost of living and to decrease the number of vehicles on the road.
More than 220,000 users were registered using the My50 monthly pass, primarily from the B40 group, which is twice as many as since the program's inception in 2019. Loke noted the My50 pass's affordability, pointing out that commuters can get from home to work for less than RM2. -to-detect-paint-flaws-on-the-cars-it-assembles-at-its-facilities-in-the-United-States.-(22)-full_normal.jpg)
Under Budget 2025, the Ministry of Transportation has been provided RM750 million for public transportation projects, of which 44% is used for subsidies for air and rail services. On the other hand, RM22 million will go towards Tren Tidak Ekonomik (TTE) subsidies to cover the Tumpat-Kuala Lips and Gemas routes, and RM226 million will go towards My50 and Mutiara Pas subsidies.
