Chinese Company Gives 6 EVs To TVET Institutions
According to Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, deputy prime minister and head of the national council on technical and vocational education, China Beifang Automotive Education Group will provide six electric vehicles (EVs) to technical training institutions in Malaysia for hands-on training.
One EV each will be given to the Sarawak Centre of Technology Excellence and the Perda Automotive Centre in Penang, while the remaining vehicles will be distributed to Mara Technical Institutes, Bernama has reported.
For the record, Beifang has trained over 2,000 Malaysians, and more than 100 lecturers have been sent to China for three to six months to receive training and attend automotive courses with the education group.

He would talk to Beifang about expanding the number of students receiving training, Zahid said. In an exchange program with Hangzhou Polytechnic and Geely Auto Group, Sultan Azlan Shah Polytechnic in Ipoh announced that 21 participants from three polytechnics will spend three months in China for the purpose.
According to the polytechnic , the programme will provide industry attachment training in electric vehicles as well as placement opportunities upon completion of the training.
