UMWT Sept 2024 Sales Totals at 7,700 units, YTD Up To 72,000 Units Now
-full.jpg)
UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) saw its Sept sales total at 7,700 units, marking a slight decline from the 8,500 units shifted the month prior.
UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) saw its Sept 2024 sales total at 7,700 units, thus bringing its total year-to-date (YTD) sales for 2024 up to 72,000 units.
Compared to its sales pace in Aug 2024 where the firm shifted 8,500 units, Sept 2024’s figures marked a slight decline. Nevertheless, the firm remains somewhat optimistic about its pace, and its YTD sales figure mentioned earlier marked an increase from the 64,000 units recorded last month.

UMWT didn't provide a breakdown, choosing to note instead that the (clockwise) Hilux, Vios and Corolla Cross continue to be its best-sellers, collectively charting 69% of total YTD sales for 2024 thus far.
Again, UMWT did not disclose detailed breakdown of its model sales, but did instead note that models like the Vios, Hilux and Corolla Cross continue to make up the lion share of its total sales. Collectively, all three models make up 69% of UMWT’s total YTD sales for 2024, in fact.
Amongst the three, the Hilux 4x4 pick-up truck range saw a change last month as the firm opened up the order books for the updated 2024 model year (2024MY) version locally. Concurrently, UMWT also began taking orders for said model’s full-bodied Fortuner SUV twin in its latest 2024MY guise.
Said off-roaders aside, UMWT also announced the availability of the updated 2024MY Toyota GR86 sports coupe.

Moving ahead, UMWT continues to offer its Yaris hatch with rebates up to RM9,500 and low monthly installments from RM658 onwards via its latest monthly promotion.
“We are proud of our performance this month, which reflects not only the strength of our products, but also the loyalty of our customers,” said UMWT president Datuk Ravindran K via the press release issued by the firm earlier today.
Moving ahead, UMWT highlighted that it has started yet another monthly promotional campaign called “Move in Harmony.” Running across the entire month of Oct, it sees UMWT continue to offer rebates up to RM9,500 and monthly installments as low as RM658 for the Yaris hatchback.
Said monthly promotional campaign also sees UMWT offer customers its Toyota Service Savers programme, which offers customers with an affordable vehicle maintenance option with long-term cost-efficiency via low monthly installments of RM31 onwards.
