UMWT Shifted 8,500 Vehicles In Aug 2024, YTD Up To 64,000 Units

UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd (UMWT) closed Aug 2024 by charting a total of 8,500 vehicle deliveries - 500 units less than the previous month.
UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd (UMWT) closed Aug 2024 by charting healthy sales figures with a total of 8,500 deliveries. The firm didn’t specify a detailed model sales breakdown, but notes that much of these figures were driven by core models, namely the Vios, Hilux and Corolla.
This marks a drop of 500 units from the 9,000 deliveries the firm recorded in the previous month. Nevertheless, the firm notes that its total year-to-date (YTD) deliveries continue to rise, totalling at approximately 64,000 units as of Aug 2024.

For its Aug 2024 sales, UMWT notes that core models such as the Vios (left), Hilux (top) and Corolla (right) continue to drive said momentum. The firm's total YTD sales also stands as approximately 64,000 units now.
Ultimately, Aug 2024 wasn’t a dull month for the firm, evident through key efforts such as the opening of a new 3S Centre in Sarawak’s Kota Samarahan district. Moreover, the firm also opened up the order books for three updated 2024 models last month, those being the revised Hilux and Fortuner, as well as the GR86.
Regarding the former off-roading duo, the Hilux sees a critical new update whereby Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) now comes standard-equipped in the 2.4 Single Cab variant onwards. Additional features such as Remote Engine Start and Panoramic View Monitor were also announced for select variants.

Aug 2024 also saw UMWT refresh its line-up with revised 2024MY versions of both the Hilux and Fortuner 4x4 models. Both models are now opened for bookings.
As for the Fortuner, the Hilux’s full-bodied SUV twin now sees its 2024MY version primed with Remote Engine Start in higher-end variants. At the same time, UMWT also readied a sporty new GR-branded aerokit package for said SUV, albeit as an optional package on select variants as well.
Moving on to the updated 2024MY GR86 sports coupe, this updated model year version gains sharper handling via refined suspension tuning, along with enhanced throttle response. In terms of kit, the popular coupe also gains both front and rear dashcams added into its kit list.

Another updated 2024MY offering announced in Aug 2024 was the highly acclaimed Toyota GR86 sports coupe.
“The enhancements made to the three models, reflect our commitment to providing mobility solutions that drive innovation and customer satisfaction,” says UMWT president Datuk Ravindran K.
Moving ahead, UMWT continues to have special offers on hand on select models and services throughout Sept 2024. Key amongst which is a special RM9,5000 sales promotion plus monthly instalments as low as RM658 for the Yaris hatch.
Additionally, UMWT still has its Toyota Service Savers program that offers customers to pay for vehicle services via monthly instalments starting from as low as RM31.
