2024 Toyota GR86 Now Open for Booking – From RM295,000

UMWT is now taking orders for the updated 2024 Toyota GR86, featuring two variants priced from RM295,000.
Besides the 2024 Toyota Hilux and Fortuner 4x4 duo, UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) is also taking orders for the newly-updated 2024 Toyota GR86. Introduced in Japan last month, the 2024 model year (2024 MY) update sees this beloved two-door sportscar gaining some key upgrades and additional features—all designed to deliver an even more exhilarating driving experience.

For starters, Toyota engineers have tweaked and calibrated both the 2024 GR 86’s shock absorbers and the electric power steering control to allow the car to have sharper overall handling for a more engaging driving experience. On top of that, throttle response has also been meticulously tuned to provide exceptional controllability at the limits.
Special for the 6AT variant is the enhanced transmission tuning that allows for a higher engine RPM after downshifts, providing drivers with greater control and performance.

The 2024 GR86 still uses the same 2.4-litre 'Boxer' engine as before.
Predictably, powertrain specs remain unchanged for the updated GR86, as it continues to be motivated by the 2.4-litre 4-cyl nat-asp ‘Boxer’ engine co-developed with Subaru to deliver 237 PS and 250 NM. Power is delivered to the rear wheels (RWD) via a limited-slip differential (LSD) and a choice of either the six-speed automatic or manual transmission.

Besides the driving-specific enhancements mentioned above, the 2024 MY Toyota GR86 is now equipped with a front and rear Digital Video Recorder (DVR) as standard. Previously offered as an option, this addition allows users to automatically start the recording every time they switch on the car’s engine, providing an extra layer of security for this sportscar.

Now open for booking, the all-new 2024 Toyota GR86 starts from RM295,000 for the 6MT variant to RM305,000 for the 6AT model. Included with said prices is the standard 5-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty provided by UMWT.
