A sinkhole has emerged along the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) after heavy downpours since earlier this morning. As announced by PLUS Malaysia’s official Facebook page, this emerging sinkhole is located along the KM 18.6 southbound stretch of the highway between the Damansara and Kota Damansara exits.
To avoid further incidents from happening to motorists, NKVE personnel have closed off both the emergency lane and half of the left lane. Users of the NKVE expressway are also advised to always adhere to the instructions given by official personnel at the affected location.
This morning's heavy rain has also caused several flash floods around the Klang Valley region such as Setia Alam (left) & Klang (right).

Apart from NKVE, this morning’s heavy downpour has also affected several other areas around the Klang Valley region, with most traffic on major arteries moving very slowly due to partial lane closure caused by flash floods and overflowing water. These areas include Setia Alam, Klang, Persiaran Surian in Damansara, and many more.
