Leapmotor C10 REEV Teased Ahead of Brussels Motor Show Debut

Leapmotor is set to introduce the REEV version of its C10 midsize crossover at the upcoming Brussels Motor Show.
Stellantis-backed Chinese EV marque Leapmotor is set to expand its European venture by launching its first range-extender EV (REEV) in the Old Continent, the Leapmotor C10 REEV. This range-extender version of the marque’s midsize EV crossover will be making its first public appearance at the upcoming Brussels Motor Show early next year.
Unlike its all-electric twin, the C10 REEV hides a 1.5-litre 4-cyl petrol engine under its hood that acts as a generator to its 28.4-kWh battery pack, which in turn juices up a 212 HP-rated (158 kW) electric motor at the rear wheels (RWD). While the small battery pack only provides the C10 REEV with 145 KM of pure EV range, the range-extender setup helps to prolong its total travel range to over 950 KM, thanks to its decent fuel consumption rating of 0.4 liters per 100 KM, Leapmotor claims.
And just like a typical EV, the C10 REEV also supports both AC and DC charging methods, with the latter rated at 65 kW, capable of providing 72.5 KM of range from an 18-minute charge.
Malaysian-spec Leapmotor C10 BEV
Although no details were given pertaining to the C10 REEV’s equipment list, we can expect it to closely resemble the all-electric variant. For reference, the Malaysian-spec Leapmotor C10 BEV gets a host of premium exterior equipment such as full auto LED headlights and taillights, 18-inch alloy wheels, flush-mounted door handles, and privacy glass, to name a few.
The same goes for the C10 REEV’s interior, as the range-extender model is also expected to mirror its all-electric twin, which is primed with tech amenities such as a 14.6-inch central infotainment display, a fully-digital metre cluster, a 12-speaker audio system, heated and ventilated front seats, a multi-colour ambient lighting system, a full panoramic glass roof, and many more.
The 101st Brussels Motor Show is slated to open its doors from Jan 10 to 19, 2025. Aside from Stellantis with their new Leapmotor C10 REEV, other automakers have yet to announce any plans for this upcoming motor show, so we can expect there’s nothing much going on there.
