Mitsubishi Triton Bags 2024/25 Japan Design Car Of The Year Award

Mitsubishi Motors all-new Triton pickup truck has won the 2024-2025 Design Car of the Year at the recent Japan Car of the Year awards. The Triton, known for its rough yet exciting "Beast Mode" design, represents toughness and agility, enabling users to live an adventurous lifestyle.
The judges praised its powerful look, which included Mitsubishi's iconic Dynamic Shield front-end design, a prominent grille, and muscular fenders, as well as well-balanced proportions for a double cab.

Praises were also given for its Horizontal Axis dashboard design which allows for easy observation of the vehicle's position, while soft-padded materials improve passenger protection. High-contrast geometric forms and glove-friendly controls improve comfort and use.
The all-new Triton, which debuted in Thailand in July 2023, marks a total revamp of its chassis, engine, and cabin, all in keeping with the "Power for Adventure" theme. It is intended for both business and recreational usage and appeals to individuals who like outdoor and sports-related activities.

Since its introduction in 1978, the Triton has sold about 5.7 million units across five versions in 150 countries. It is now made in Thailand and shipped to over 100 countries across the world.
Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia sells the Triton in five versions, including a new single-cab option, for between RM101,980 and RM165,980.
