New TNG eWallet ‘SOS Balance’ Aims To Save You From Getting Stuck At Tolls
Even been stuck at the toll gate for not having enough balance in your TNG eWallet? Well, the app now has a solution for that specific situation..
The Touch ‘n Go (TNG) eWallet app welcomes a newly added ‘SOS Balance’ feature. According to app developers TNG Digital, this feature was designed to help users avoid from getting stuck at tolls due to insufficient credit balance.
SOS Balance activates when a user does not have enough credit balance in their TNG eWallet account, and it automatically covers the toll payment at the toll gate where it is activated. Users then get a 24-hour grace period to repay the SOS Balance amount, and failure to do so will see this feature suspended.
Additionally, users can elect to either pay the exact amount owed within the app, or have said amount automatically deducted from their new balance upon reloading. This is nifty especially for users who keep forgetting or don’t often keep track of their TNG eWallet balances.
Details about the new SOS Balance is available under said feature's dedicated FAQ section across both the TNG eWallet app and website.
However, there are several catches, and it starts with the fact that this feature only works at Touch ‘n Go RFID and PayDirect-enabled toll plazas. A full list of highways that supports this new feature is available online now via the TNG eWallet website.
Secondly, the new SOS Balance feature is available only to selected ‘loyal’ TNG eWallet users, says TNG Digital. The app also states that users ought to clear pending payments on time, regularly top-up their TNG eWallet, and actively use TNG eWallet to be eligible.
Further details about the TNG eWallet’s new SOS Balance feature is now available online via the app’s official website under said feature's dedicated FAQ section.
