Rapid KL Launches Four New On-Demand Routes On Feb 1
-full_normal.jpg)
Beginning on February 1, Rapid KL will extend its on-demand transit van service to four locations in Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur. The transit van service's operator, Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd, stated that the four routes are Putrajaya Sentral MRT station-Presint 11, Bangsar LRT station-Taman Bandaraya, Taman Genting Setapak-Setapak, and Taman Desa-Jalan Klang Lama.
“The T850B (Bangsar LRT-Taman Bandaraya) and T512B (Putrajaya Sentral MRT-Precinct 11) routes will be directly connected to the Rapid KL rail services. This integration is crucial for enabling Rapid KL users to continue their journey with the rail and bus network.
“Meanwhile, the T650B (Taman Desa-Jalan Klang Lama) and T250B (Taman Genting Setapak-Setapak) routes will operate using bus lanes along Jalan Klang Lama and Jalan Genting Kelang, allowing passengers to continue their journey on the Rapid KL buses and vice versa,” the statement read.

The on-demand service, which is expected to connect commuters to bus and rail routes every 10 minutes, allows users to book the van service via the Trek Rides app for the Taman Desa-Jalan Klang Lama and Bangsar LRT station-Taman Bandaraya routes, and the Kummute app for the other two routes.
With 20 vans operating nine routes between 6 a.m. and 11.30 p.m., Rapid KL on-demand—formerly known as demand responsive transit— currently serves 2,023 passengers every day.
