Expanded to MARA Petronas Bumiputera Auto Entrepreneurship Program
Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) is now offering opportunities for Bumiputera entrepreneurs in Sabah to break into the automotive industry through the MARA-Petronas Automotive Entrepreneur Development Programme (PUMP).
This initiative was developed in partnership with Petronas Lubricants with the goal of assisting Bumiputera business owners throughout Borneo in starting their own AutoExpert workshops.
According to MARA Deputy Director-General (Entrepreneurship) Datuk Zulfikri Osman, the partnership has already led to the creation of 54 workshops across Peninsular Malaysia since it began in 2020.
The initiative is now being extended to Borneo, with plans for additional workshops in Sabah and Sarawak. The PUMP introduction session in Sabah had brought together 50 participants.
The PUMP programme provides a simple and efficient path for entrepreneurs to own their workshops. Zulfikri encouraged participants to adopt a positive outlook, stay focused, and follow the guidance offered to help them achieve business success.
For more information, you can reach MARA’s Commercial Infrastructure Division at 03-26132000.
