Inaugural Ford Raptor Rev Malaysia Concludes on a High Note
The inaugural Ford Raptor Rev Malaysia has concluded on a high note.
The inaugural Ford Raptor Rev Malaysia has concluded on a high note, gathering participants comprising Ford Ranger Raptor owners and enthusiasts in an adrenaline-fuelled festival. Organised by Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC), the sole distributor of Ford vehicles in Malaysia, the inaugural Ford Raptor Rev was held over two days at Bay 13, Sepang International Circuit, from Feb 22 to 23, 2025.
As Malaysia’s first-ever premium off-road event, the inaugural Ford Raptor Rev Malaysia was designed to give Ford Ranger Raptor owners and enthusiasts a full-on experience. Featuring insightful workshops and guided off-road training sessions, the event saw strong participation from both Ranger Raptor owners enthusiasts that were eager to witness the capabilities of the Raptor firsthand.
Perhaps the most exhilarating event for Ranger Raptor owners was the series of workshop and training sessions covering off-roading, jumping and drifting, 4x4 obstacle trails, and Baja lap training. Flown exclusively from Australia to help with this workshop was Chris Dean, the senior engineer for vehicle dynamics at Ford Motor Company, who conducted in-depth training on decoding the Ranger Raptor’s Fox suspension system.
On top of the Fox dampers, technical experts from BFGoodrich, the main partner for the Raptor Rev event, were also brought in to share about the new KO3 all-terrain tyres in special workshops.
Besides the owners, members of the public who attended the Raptor Rev were also given the opportunity to participate in various events, with the biggest two highlights being a Hot Lap session with professional drivers through the thrilling Baja course, as well as test drive sessions with the Ford Ranger Raptor. Other fun-filled activities featured include food trucks, live performances, and giveaways.
Commenting on the success of the inaugural Ford Raptor Rev Malaysia, SDAC managing director Turse Zuhair said, “We are proud to have brought together the Ranger Raptor community for this unique off-road experience. The Raptor Rev is a celebration of what makes the Ranger Raptor extraordinary. It is a great platform for owners and enthusiasts alike to witness the Raptor’s extraordinary capabilities in a thrilling, hands-on environment while fostering a strong sense of community amongst off-road enthusiasts.”
