178,148 KTMB Tickets Snapped Up For Aidilfitri
178,148 tickets have been sold for the electric train service (ETS), KTM Intercity, and Shuttle Tebrau for Aidilfitri travel between March 28 and April 6, BH has reported.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke reported that ETS tickets were the most popular, with only 10,958 remaining, and overall only 9% of tickets are still available.
āFor the KTM Intercity service, a total of 43,920 tickets are on sale, involving 22 trips which cover Shuttle Timur, Ekspres Selatan and Ekspres Rakyat Timuran.
āMeanwhile, the Shuttle Tebrau is offering 99,200 tickets for the Johor Bahru Sentral ā Woodlands route,ā he said at a press conference yesterday (March 23).
Starting March 28th and running through April 6th, KTMB will add four extra ETS services to their schedule. These additional services include two trips between KL Sentral and Padang Besar and two more between KL Sentral and Butterworth.
KTMB is also offering special Ekspres Lambaian Aidilfitri train services for the East and North Coast editions, the transport minister said. These special trains offer 312 tickets per trip, for a total of 1,248 tickets. Tickets went on sale March 12th, with prices ranging from RM90 to RM95 for a one-way trip.
