Accident-Prone Areas Identified Nationwide For Aidilfitri

The federal JSPT director Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri has announced that 71 accident-prone areas have been identified on highways across Malaysia. These include 25 hotspots and 46 blackspots, which are locations with a particularly high frequency of accidents.
The JSPT will be closely monitoring these areas, especially during the upcoming raya season.
Meanwhile, Bernama reports that the Malaysian fire and rescue service (JBPM) has identified 12 accident-prone areas along the East Coast Motorway (LPT) and PLUS North-South Motorway (NSE).

This comes as a precaution ahead of the upcoming aidilfitri season.
JBPM director-general Datuk Nor Hisham Mohammad announced that the fire and rescue team will be strategically positioned at these sites to improve response efficiency from March 29 to April 3.
“These two expressways are our main focus. Our primary goal is to reach the accident site within 30 minutes. Based on our experience, accidents on these expressways can cause severe traffic congestion, so we are deploying our personnel in these locations to minimise the impact,” he said.
