KL Road Closures For Masi Magam Chariot Procession
In conjunction with the annual Masi Magam 2025 celebration happening today (March 12), several major roads in Kuala Lumpur will be closed in stages starting from 5 PM until the ceremony ends.
Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa, stated that two chariots will depart from Sri Subramaniar Swamy Temple, Batu Caves and head towards Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, Jalan Tun H.S. Lee, KL.
He further added that the chariot procession will pass through the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) - Jalan Sri Batu Caves - Jalan 46/10 - Jalan Sentul Pasar - Jalan Sentul - Jalan Tanah Lapang - Jalan Enam, Jalan Sentul.
Other roads involved in the procession include:
- Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah (Jalan Ipoh)
- Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman
- Jalan Dang Wangi
- Jalan Ampang
- Jalan Leboh Ampang
- Jalan Tun Perak
- Jalan Pudu
- Jalan Tan Cheng Lock
- Jalan Sultan
- Jalan Tun H.S. Lee
The procession is expected to conclude at Sri Maha Mariamman Temple Dhevasthanam.
Most roads in the city center will be heavily congested later today. However, the authorities will gradually close and reopen roads to ensure smooth traffic flow during the event.
