Continental Debuts New UltraContact UX7 SUV Tyres

Continental Tyres debuts its new SUV-dedicated tyre for urban drivers, known as the Continental UltraContact UX7.
Leading German tyre brand Continental Tyres has unveiled its new UltraContact UX7 tyres this week. This new SUV-dedicated tyre is designed for urban SUV drivers, featuring tons of new technology, with suitable sizes for multiple crossovers and midsize SUVs.
Unlike the standard UltraContact UC7 tyres, the new UX7 tyres have a more robust construction to withstand the heavy weight of SUVs in their daily wear and tear across various road conditions. This gives them better durability, but at the same time, without sacrificing noise comfort and performance, thanks to Continental’s own SUV Confidence+ Technology.

Said technology promises to deliver in three aspects, namely safety, durability, and noise comfort. In terms of safety, the UX7 tyres come with unique X-Force Macroblocks that maximise contact area with the road to create a wider footprint for better handling and stability, which is essential in tall-riding SUVs.
On top of that, the Adaptive Diamond Compound incorporates a special formula with silica that enhances braking performance, while the Aqua Channel feature helps the tyres to drain water quickly, thus preventing aquaplaning.
For better durability, Continental engineers have fitted the UX7 tyres with their proprietary Robust360 Construction technology. This tech incorporates a reinforced steel belt that strengthens the tyres to absorb shocks from the road, enhancing shape retention and directional stability, as well as providing a sturdier carcass design to reduce the risk of tyre damage.

In terms of noise comfort, the UX7’s precision-cut tread design is designed to optimise noise reduction performance by minimising vibrations. And just like the UC7, the UX7 tyres also come with Conti’s Noisebreaker 3.0 technology, which breaks up sound waves to prevent noise from building up and travelling into the car cabin for a more pleasant journey.

The all-new Continental UltraContact UX7 tyres will be available for purchase from Q2 2025 onwards, with sizes ranging from 15 to 22 inches to fit most crossovers, midsize SUVs, and even some luxury ones too. Those interested in purchasing the UX7 can head down to any of Continental Malaysia’s branded outlets or, alternatively, visit their official stores on Shopee, Lazada, or TnG.
