Porsche Malaysia Marks 15th Anniversary Through Special Roadshow Event
Yesterday official launch of the new 992.2-gen Porsche 911 model marked the start of the special Porsche Malaysia 15th Anniversary Roadshow event happening this week at TRX, KL from April 11 to April 13.
As noted in yesterday’s launch report of the face-lifted and electrified 2025 Porsche 911 (992.2), Porsche Malaysia (Sime Darby Auto Performance) is celebrating its landmark 15th anniversary this year.
In lieu of which, the firm elected to commemorate said milestone by organising a special roadshow event happening this week at the swanky TRX, Kuala Lumpur premium shopping haven. This is set to run starting from today, April 11, until Sunday, April 13.
To commemorate the landmark milestone, Porsche Malaysia have readied a special showcase featuring a number of notable vehicles present.
A slew of notable vehicles are on display here, and it includes the 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera model launched yesterday. As a refresher, said new base-spec 992.2-gen model commands a starting price tag RM1.43 million excluding options and on-road costs.
Besides that, Porsche Malaysia is also showcasing both localised (CKD) and face-lifted third-gen Cayenne and Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe duo here. These, if you remember, command starting price tags of RM599,999 and RM728,000 respectively.
Notably, the latter stands as the first CKD Porsche model built for export (Thailand), and first Porsche plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model offering localised at the INOKOM Plant in Kulim, Kedah – the same facility where its base Cayenne CKD twin is built too.
Keen prospects are welcomed to size-up the new 992.2-gen 911 Carrera pictured at the roadshow, which commands a starting price of RM1.43 million excluding options and on-road costs.
On show too are both the face-lifted third-gen Cayenne (left) and Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe (right) that are also proudly localised (CKD). These are priced RM599,999 and RM728,000 respectively.
On the electric front, the sight of both the new second-gen Macan Electric and manic new Taycan Turbo GT ought to charge up visiting enthusiasts. The former sees four variants available with prices starting from RM430,000 onwards.
The latter Taycan Turbo GT is indeed a special sight. Showcased with the optional Weissach Package primed, it currently sits as the most powerful production Porsche model ever built – its dual-motor setup outputs a staggering 1,019 HP and 1,340 NM.
In turn, this enables century sprints despatched in just 2.3 secs, 0-200 KM/H dashes in 6.6 secs, and a claimed V-max of 290 KM/H. Additionally, the most track-focused iteration of the Taycan EV saloon stands as the most priciest too, evident by its RM1.16 million starting price.
Showcased here too is the most powerful production Porsche model to date - the Taycan Turbo GT. It packs a whopping 1,019 HP and 1,340 NM to enable century sprints in just 2.3 secs too.
Last but certainly not least, the showcase of vehicles at this special roadshow is completed by the presence of a 911 Cup racecar – the very same fielded by team Sime Motors Racing in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia championship.
Said racecar’s presence should also charge up the spirits of visiting youths who have signed up to compete in in the Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge 2025. Held for the second time this year, this unique sim-racing challenge is also happening at this roadshow event.
Completing the special vehicles showcase at the roadshow is the team Sime Motors Racing Porsche 911 Cup car - the very same used to compete in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia.
Even if you’re not planning on booking a new model or log in your best laptimes virtually, this special roadshow event will still treat visiting fans and enthusiasts with a Porsche Lifestyle merchandise sale with up to 30% off on selected items.
In short, the Porsche Malaysia 15th Anniversary Roadshow happening this week at TRX, KL is certainly something any avid local Porschephile shouldn’t miss out on. Check out more images from which in the gallery prepared below too…
