Next-Gen Xpeng P7 EV Specs Detailed – Up to 586 HP, LFP & NMC Batteries

Detailed specifications on the new, second-gen Xpeng P7 EV saloon were unveiled in China ahead of its Q3 2025 debut.
Weeks after its first unveiling, we are finally getting new details regarding the specs for the new, second-gen Xpeng P7. For its second coming, this sleek executive EV saloon is sportier than before, featuring a dual-motor setup rated at up to 536 HP, scissor-style doors, and many more.

We’ll start with the powertrain details, CarNewsChina reports that the new P7 will come in both single-motor and dual-motor guises, with the entry-level model featuring a single RWD motor setup rated at 363 HP (270 kW), allowing it to reach up to 230 km/h of top speed. Juice is provided by an LFP battery pack from Eve Energy, although no exact capacity was given for now.
The mid-spec long-range model uses the same single RWD motor setup as the base-spec model, albeit benefiting from a different ternary NMC unit from CALB. Again, no exact capacity was given, but the mid-spec model boasts the same 230 km/h V-max while weighing less at 2,090 kg as opposed to 2,125 kg on the entry-level variant.
The top-spec dual-motor AWD variant, on the other hand, gets an extra asynchronous electric motor on its front axle, thus boosting its total system output to 586 HP (437 kW). Despite this outrageous power output, the V-max is still capped at 230 km/h, while it uses the same NMC unit as the mid-spec variant.

Interestingly, CarNewsChina also pointed out that the AWD model has a curb weight between 2,188 kg and 2,220 kg, meaning that it’ll get more than one configuration. Other performance bits available for the top-spec model include the larger Brembo brakes, plus several optional carbon fibre bits, including on the side mirror caps, and many more.

While we’ve already seen the first images of the new P7, this latest update shows us that this sleek EV saloon will get supercar-style scissor front doors. Other key design bits primed here include slim LED lighting units on both ends, a fastback-style silhouette with a rakish rear windscreen, retractable door handles, an active rear spoiler, and several wheel options with sizes ranging from 20 to 21 inches.

Dimension-wise, the new P7 is quite a large saloon, spanning 5,017 mm long, 1,970 mm wide, 1,427 mm tall, and has a 3,008 mm wheelbase. This puts it in the same category as other mid-to-large executive EV saloons like the G60-gen BMW i5, the new eighth-gen Lexus ES, and many more.
As mentioned above, the all-new, second-gen Xpeng P7 will be making its first public debut sometime later in Q3 2025, with an estimated price starting from CNY 300,000 (RM175,099) onwards.
