UMWT Shifted 7,773 Units in June 2025
UMW Toyota Motor shifted 7,773 units in June 2025, bringing its year-to-date figure to 44,286 units.
UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) closed June 2025 on a positive note, as the automaker announced it has shifted 7,773 units last month. This positive sales figure brings its year-to-date (YTD) total to 44,286 units, which is slightly lower than the previous year’s first half (1H) sales record of 47,000 units.
To complement this positive sales record, UMWT is rolling out several value-packed promotions for new Toyota owners. For the Hilux, new buyers can enjoy promotions worth up to RM8,000, plus monthly installments from RM935 and three years of free service. Meanwhile, those interested in buying the Corolla Cross will enjoy promotions worth up to RM4,000 and low monthly installments from RM993.
Said positive sales record was not the only thing that happened to UMWT last month, as the automaker also took centre stage as the Title Sponsor for the Super GT Malaysia Festival at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit (SIC) last month. It marked the return of the Super GT Series to Malaysia after a 12-year hiatus, drawing over 75,000 fans to the SIC.
In conjunction with the third round of the Super GT Series 2025 championship, UMWT’s TGR Vios Challenge was selected as the supporting bill for the main series, where in this round it debuted the new one-hour endurance race format held on the full Sepang circuit layout.
For its eighth season, TGR Vios Challenge 2025 features 36 drivers, including five from the Toyota Gazoo Racing Young Talent Development Programme, marking a significant milestone in UMWT’s investment in motorsports and youth development.
Last but not least, UMWT is also organising the Hybrid Hero Challenge, which is a national social media contest held from 16 June to 31 July 2025 in conjunction with Environment Month. Open to all Malaysians, the challenge requires participants to snap and share their most creative photo with any of UMWT’s hybrid models for a chance to win prizes worth over RM17,000, with the 15 most creative entries will be announced as winners on Toyota Malaysia’s official Facebook page.
