The Road Transport Department (JPJ) officially launched the special registration number (NPI) series “SIS”. The series commemorates the upcoming Silver Jubilee celebration that marks the 25th anniversary of the reign of Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, the ninth Sultan of Selangor.
This commemorative series, carrying the prefix “SIS” - which stands for Sultan Idris Shah - and is being offered to the public through online bidding via the JPJeBid platform. The initiative celebrates the Sultan’s upcoming milestone year in 2026 and offers motorists the opportunity to own a number plate with historical and symbolic significance.

Bidding for the “SIS” series will open on Friday, Aug 15 and will run for five days, closing at 10.00PM on Tuesday, Aug 19, and results will be announced on Wednesday, Aug 20.
The bidding process follows the usual terms and conditions outlined on the JPJeBid platform, with minimum prices set for each category - RM20,000 for primary numbers, RM5,000 for premium numbers, RM2,500 for attractive numbers, RM500 for popular numbers and RM300 for regular numbers.

Winning bidders must register their purchased number on a vehicle within 12 months from the date of the official results. Part of the proceeds from NPI sales will go to a foundation under the patronage of the Sultan of Selangor for charitable activities, including scholarships and emergency aid.
Members of the public are invited to participate and secure their preferred number from this exclusive “SIS” series by visiting the JPJeBid website at https://jpjebid.jpj.gov.my.
